It will consider the impacts of the cold on health and identify sources of assistance and advice to help householders prepare for cold weather. |

- Local Welfare Assistance Fund, Household Support Fund for the winter 2021-22 and the Discretionary Assistance Fund in Wales

- Nest fuel poverty scheme in Wales
- Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery in England
- Ofgem’s Fuel Poor Network Extension Scheme
- Priority Services Register – fuel suppliers and Distribution Network Operators (DNO)

How will the webinar work?
|
|
All webinars are delivered live by our expert tutors.
We keep group sizes small to ensure a good level of interaction and support for learners.
We generally use Zoom (video conferencing facilities). To join the webinar, learners will require a suitable electronic device with sound and internet access and preferably a video camera and microphone.
Following the webinar learners will also receive a handout booklet covering the course topics. |

FULLY FUNDED PLACES ARE AVAILABLE to non-commercial organisations based in England and
Wales.
Learners must also be frontline staff or volunteers that encounter and provide advice to those in or at risk of fuel poverty.
We do also accept bookings from learners that do not meet the above criteria however there will be a charge, fees start at £70 plus VAT per learner. Please contact lynsey.thompson@nea.org.uk for further details. |
