Penodwyd Cymorth Cymunedol a Gwirfoddol Conwy i Weinyddu Cronfa Budd Cymunedol Fferm Wynt Alltraeth North Hoyle

Mae’n bleser gan Gymorth Cymunedol a Gwirfoddol Conwy (CCGC) gyhoeddi ein bod wedi’i penodi gan North Hoyle Wind Farm Limited i weinyddu cam nesaf Cronfa Budd Cymunedol Fferm Wynt Alltraeth North Hoyle.

Mae Fferm Wynt Alltraeth North Hoyle, sydd wedi’i lleoli tua 8 cilomedr oddi ar arfordir Gogledd Cymru, yn brosiect ynni adnewyddadwy sylweddol sydd wedi bod yn arloeswr yn niwydiant gwynt y môr y DU. Fel y fferm wynt alltraeth fasnachol gyntaf yn y DU, mae North Hoyle wedi bod yn cynhyrchu trydan glân i filoedd o gartrefi a busnesau ers iddi gael ei chomisiynu’n llawn yn 2004.

Mae gan North Hoyle Wind Farm Limited ymrwymiad cryf i gefnogi'r gymuned leol. Ers dechrau gweithredu, mae'r fferm wynt wedi cyfrannu at gronfa gymunedol bwrpasol, a ddarpwyd trwy gydweithrediad hirsefydlog gyda Phartneriaeth Arfordirol Sir Ddinbych. Mae'r gronfa eisoes wedi cefnogi ystod eang o brosiectau sydd o fudd i bobl a sefydliadau'r Rhyl, Prestatyn a Gallt Melyd.

Ymrwymiad Parhaus i'r Gymuned

Tra bod rhwymedigaeth wreiddiol y gronfa gymunedol o 20 mlynedd wedi dod i ben yn 2024, mae North Hoyle Wind Farm Limited wedi penderfynu parhau â’i chefnogaeth i’r gymuned leol nes bod y fferm wynt yn cael ei datgomisiynu. Mae hyn yn dangos ymrwymiad parhaus y prosiect i gael effaith gadarnhaol ar yr ardal y mae'n gweithredu ynddi.

Yn 2024, cyfraniad North Hoyle i’r gronfa gymunedol oedd £126,000. Er mwyn sicrhau bod y gymuned yn parhau i gael ei chefnogi trwy gydol oes y prosiect, mae North Hoyle wedi addo cynyddu'r cyfraniad hwn yn unol â chwyddiant.

Cefnogi Cymunedau Lleol

Mae’r gronfa budd cymunedol yn gwasanaethu ardaloedd y Rhyl, Prestatyn, a Gallt Melyd, gan ddarparu cyllid hanfodol ar gyfer ystod eang o fentrau sydd o fudd i’r cymunedau lleol.

Dywedodd Elgan Owen, Prif Swyddog CGGC, “Rydym wrth ein bodd i gael bod yn bartner gyda North Hoyle Wind Farm Limited i gyflawni’r cam nesaf hwn o Gronfa Budd Cymunedol Fferm Wynt Alltraeth North Hoyle. Mae hwn yn gyfle gwych i ni adeiladu ar waith Partneriaeth Arfordirol Sir Ddinbych hyd yma a pharhau i gefnogi prosiectau lleol a fydd yn gwneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol i fywydau pobl yn ein cymuned. Edrychwn ymlaen at gefnogi’r gymuned leol i sicrhau bod y gronfa yn sicrhau’r budd mwyaf i’r ardal leol.”

Community and Voluntary Support Conwy Appointed to Administer North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund

Community and Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC) is delighted to announce that it has been appointed by North Hoyle Wind Farm Limited to administer the next phase of the North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund.

The North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm, located approximately 8 kilometers off the coast of North Wales, is a significant renewable energy project that has been a pioneer in the UK offshore wind industry. As the first commercial offshore wind farm in the UK, North Hoyle has been generating clean electricity for thousands of homes and businesses since it was fully commissioned in 2004.

North Hoyle Wind Farm Limited has a strong commitment to supporting the local community. Since the start of operations, the wind farm has contributed to a dedicated community fund, delivered through a long standing collaboration with the Denbighshire Coastal Partnership. The fund has already supported a wide range of projects that benefit the people and organisations of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Meliden.

Continued Commitment to the Community

While the original community fund obligation of 20 years expired in 2024, North Hoyle Wind Farm Limited has made the decision to continue its support to the local community until the wind farm is decommissioned. This demonstrates the project's ongoing commitment to making a positive impact on the are in which it operates.

In 2024, the contribution of North Hoyle to the community fund was £126,000. To ensure that the community remains supported through the life of the project, North Hoyle has pledged to increase this contribution in accordance with inflation.

Supporting Local Communities

The community benefit fund serves the areas of Rhyl, Prestatyn, and Meliden, providing vital funding for a wide range of initiatives that benefit the local communities.
