Community Rail Partnership, Community Resilience Fund 2025/26 The Conwy Valley and North Wales Coast Community Rail Partnership (Conwy Valley and North Wales Coast railway line) has set
up a one-off grant fund to support communities along the railway line in the counties of: Anglesey, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire and Flintshire. The scheme is offering funding to allow communities along the line to build resilience or sustainability for their project / activities or new initiative. Community organisations, charities, and CIC’s with the local community (5 miles of the stations) can apply for
funding to assist with projects targeting social inclusion, encouraging behaviour change, that link to healthy wellbeing activities and where possible encourage the use of public transport.# Funding available:Grants of up to £1000 are
available, and the total grant pot is £20,000. How can the grant be used?The grant can be used for projects that look to support grassroots projects that look to reduce social isolation and improve health and wellbeing within the local community. The grant will fund new or existing activities that
meet the objectives of the scheme. The grant does not have to be solely for project costs, it can be used for running costs including staff, bills, rent or maintenance as long as it can be demonstrated that these costs cannot be met by other means and that it will help the organisation remain active and sustainable. A Chat with the Postcode Community Trust: How to Get Funding
Postcode Community Trust provides unrestricted funding to charities and good causes operating in Wales. In 2024 Postcode Community Trust provided over £3 million across Wales and will be hosting a workshop advising about
changes to their funding structure for the final funding round of 2025. Along with covering upcoming changes to their funding, the session will provide insight into their eligibility criteria and include tips and tricks to put together a strong application for funding.

Volunteering Wales Main Grant now open
The Volunteering Wales Main Grant is now open for applications with a closing date of 24 October
2025. Funding is available for not-for-profit organisations proposing projects up to two years, for up to £30,000 per annum.

McCarthy Stone Foundation - Creating Connections Grant Programme
The McCarthy Stone Foundation will be awarding grants of up to £7,500 to over 20 charitable organisations working to reduce
loneliness and isolation among older people.
Small and medium sized community organisations, registered charities, exempt charities and other groups that are creating meaningful social connections for people aged 65 and over, including: - Befriending services, including meal delivery for those living independently
- Social groups, such as art classes, dance sessions, lunch clubs, and coffee mornings
- Community transport, connecting older people to local activities and services
Priority will be given to those applications working in more deprived areas.
