Funding News Brief

As well as the numerous grants that CVSC administer, we also have a Sustainable Funding Officer who can assist groups within Conwy who may not be eligible for our own grant funds or are looking for match funding.
 Our Funding Officer can:

• source funding for you 
• help you with your fundraising activities
• assist with any funding application.

Volunteers’ Week is just around the corner – and it’s time to celebrate the heart of our communities: our incredible volunteers!

As part of this year’s Volunteers’ Week celebrations, we’re excited to invite you to a special Celebratory Event where we’ll recognise the outstanding contribution of volunteers across our county.

📅 When? Friday, 6th June 2025, from 6pm
📍Where? Venue Cymru, The Promenade, Penrhyn Cres, Llandudno, LL30 1BB

We would like to encourage you to show your appreciation to those amazing people who help your organisation to thrive, by nominating them for a Volunteers’ Week Certificate of Recognition. 

👉 How to nominate:
Simply complete the attached form or fill in our digital form HERE.

🎉 On the evening, nominated volunteers will be presented with their certificates, followed by refreshments and a chance to mingle and reconnect with colleagues, old and new.

To ensure we can accommodate everyone, each organisation is invited to bring up to 3 volunteers and 1 staff member. Please let us know if you or your volunteers have any specific requirements.

🗓 Deadline for nominations: Monday, 26th May 2025

You’re more than welcome to nominate additional volunteers and either collect their certificates at the event or arrange for us to visit their place of volunteering to present them in person.

Let’s give our volunteers the recognition they truly deserve – we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Asda Foundation: Local Community Spaces Fund

To be eligible to apply for this fund, your community space must be an accessible place where members of the community can interact, seek support and access a variety of services and activities. Grants are between £10,000 and £20,000.

The application window for this grant will open on 7th May and will close at 10am on Wednesday 28th May 2025.

Rosa's Rise Fund

Rosa’s Rise Fund 2025 OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS until 4pm Monday 23rd June 2025

Rosa’s Rise Fund invests in organisations led by and for Black and racially minoritised women and girls; organisations that provide essential support for individuals and communities. Yet many are on teetering on the brink of survival because of chronic underfunding.

Rise offers two-year organisational development grants of up to £40,000 to organisations led by and for Black and racially minoritised women and girls.

Lloyds Bank Foundation - Racial equity grants

This funding programme is for organisations working with people experiencing inequity because of their race or ethnicity. To be eligible for this programme, your organisation will be led by the communities you serve. Alongside providing immediate crisis support, applicants should also have a track record of working with people over the longer term to help them break free from poverty and achieve their potential.

Small and medium sized Registered Charities, CIO’s and CICs, that are led by the demographic of people being supported, can apply for unrestricted grants and tailored development support. Grants are for up to £75,000 over 3 years, and 41 organisations will be supported.

The deadline for applications is 29^th May 2025
