Business Planning for the Third SectorThis short introductory course to developing Business Plans is tailored for grassroots third sector organisations like you. More and more funders are now requiring business plans in order to access grants and funding. It’s a requisite for the majority of large projects but can also be needed for some of
the smaller ones as well as the funders look to ensure their money is going to lead to long term sustainable change. Putting together these plans can seem a daunting task at first, especially if you’ve never written one before. But help is at hand! This course will
provide you with a simple step by step guide to developing short, concise Business Plans for your own organisations. It will also be an opportunity to discuss and work through some of the issues you’re facing with the tutor and your peers. This half day course will introduce you to the purpose of a business plan, and outline the key elements of
a strong plan including: · Introducing your organisation and its purpose· Evidencing the need for your project, product, or service. · Consider how it fits with other developments and organisations in your community· Explain how you’ll deliver your project, product, or service. ·
Outline resources you’re going to need to make it work· Lay out the financial information, including creating a simple cashflow forecast. · Identifying Risks & Opportunities This session is in Welsh only.

The Conwy Youth Led Grant is still OPEN for applications up to £2,000!
The Conwy Youth Led Grant is administered by CVSC in collaboration with WCVA and the Welsh Government. The scheme is designed to amplify the voices of young people and offers financial support for grassroots community projects. We want to give
you the green light to kickstart your own volunteering projects and activities! This could include tackling climate change, supporting mental health, or a community event run by young volunteers. Applications will be thoroughly reviewed by a panel of young people aged 14-25, ensuring that young people in Conwy have a chance to support community projects that matter to them. Mae Ynni Cymru (Rhaglen Llywodraeth Cymru) yn cynnal gweminar i drafod ein cynllun grant cyfalaf arfaethedig ar gyfer
prosiectau System Ynni Lleol Clyfar (SLES). Bydd y cynllun yn agored i'r sector cyhoeddus, y sectorau gwirfoddol/cymunedol/mentrau cymdeithasol a busnesau bach a chanolig sydd wedi'u lleoli yng Nghymru.
Bydd prosiectau SLES llwyddiannus yn cyfuno technoleg cynhyrchu ynni adnewyddadwy, data a rheolaethau ac storio ynni i bweru gweithrediadau cyffredinol, gwres neu drafnidiaeth.

Ynni Cymru (a Welsh Government Programme) is hosting a webinar to discuss its proposed capital grant scheme for Smart Local Energy System (SLES) projects. The scheme will be open to the public sector, voluntary/community/social enterprise sectors
and SMEs based in Wales. Successful SLES projects will combine renewable energy generation technology, data and controls and energy storage to power general operations, heat or transport. These

Rowntree’s – Free the Fund Community Grant Programme
Groundwork is working with Rowntree’s for a third year to deliver the Free the Fund Community Grant Programme – an exciting initiative that supports adult wellbeing by mobilising community
action to create better places, improve prospects and bring about positive change. Rowntree’s – Free the Fund Community Grant Programme - Groundwork
Access to Justice Foundation - Improving Lives Through Advice grants
Registered charities providing free legal advice across Wales can apply. The programme is designed to strengthen access to justice for
communities that experience the greatest need due to poverty, disadvantage, or discrimination.
To be eligible, organisations must: - Be registered with the Charity Commission or Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
- Have a track record of delivering free legal advice in one or more of the following areas of law: asylum, community care, consumer, debt, disability, discrimination, education, employment, family, housing, immigration, mental health, public and administrative
law, welfare benefits.
- Have experience working with communities to raise awareness of legal rights and help people identify and resolve legal issues.
Unrestricted, three-year grants are available running from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2029. Grant amounts range between £50,000 - £100,000 per year for 3 years, with the amount awarded being dependent on the organisation’s size.
The deadline for
applications is 16 March 2026 (noon).

The Oakdale Trust
The Oakdale Trust provides funding for charities and voluntary bodies working predominantly in Wales on social and community projects, penal reform and medical support. The trust's areas of interest include the following: - Welsh based social and community
projects;
- Medical: support groups operating in Wales, and UK based research projects;
- UK based and registered charities working in the developing world;
- Some support is given to the arts, particularly where there is a Welsh connection.
- Environmental conservation projects based in Wales; and
- Penal reform.
Grants range from £250 up to £3000 with an average of approximately
£2000.
The grants panel meet twice a year to consider applications. and their next deadline is Friday 27th March 2026.

Our grant scheme helps fund activity providers to give people with Parkinson's more opportunities to get and stay active. We provide grants of up to £3,000 to support physical activity projects for people with Parkinson's all
over the UK.
